International Entrepreneurs' Night meets citizen mobility

Visual Final Review Besser Umsteigen Event Website

How can we break mobility routines and motivate commuters to switch from private cars to alternative modes of transport?

As part of this event, the International Entrepreneurs’ Night and the Final Review of our project "Besser Umsteigen" are joining forces. Together, we provide a platform for innovative start-ups, experts, and partners to share ideas and developments and to foster valuable connections between international start-up ecosystems.

Cross-disciplinary and international collaboration was crucial in the recent co-innovation initiative organized by Digital Hub Mobility by UnternehmerTUM, in partnership with the city of Munich, Stadtwerke München/MVG, BMW Group, Autobahn GmbH, Park and Ride GmbH, and Designit.

Our projects focus on citizens, which is why we refer to it as "citizen mobility," but start-ups are also key participants. For the first time, we included an international start-up, Nudgd from Sweden. In collaboration with the German founders of Lynes, we launched the "Besser Umsteigen" Challenge.

We aim to share the findings from our urban experiment, which sought to enhance commuting efficiency and convenience in the Munich metropolitan area. Our goal was to disrupt established mobility patterns by encouraging and rewarding intermodal travel behavior among commuters.

Join us at the Munich Urban Colab for an informative presentation of the project, inspiring pitches from our start-ups, and engaging discussions with experts and the public.
