Interoperable Planning and Reservation of Charging Infrastructure for Electric Trucks

At the final event of the co-innovation project TRUCK CHARGING, we will present the project results and demonstrate the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for interoperable planning and reservation of charging stops for electric trucks — covering both depot-based charging and public charging hubs.

Together with leading partners from logistics, energy, and technology, the project developed an interoperable reservation and charging system that addresses key challenges in the electrification of heavy-duty transport.

Live Demonstration of the End-to-End Process

In a realistic live setup, we will showcase the complete end-to-end workflow: from route planning and intelligent charging demand analysis to reservation, authentication, and the actual charging process at the vehicle.

Event Highlights

🔹 Project overview & key findings – lessons learned and the current state of the industry

🔹 Live demo – integrated routing, charging, and reservation process in action

🔹 Insights from project partners – Alpitronic, MAN, E.ON, FRYTE, Metzger Spedition, and others

🔹 Interaction & discussion – how depot sharing, intelligent energy integration, and open standards enable the next stage of scaling

🔹 Networking at the historic Transport Museum

About the Project

The TRUCK CHARGING project was initiated and facilitated by UnternehmerTUM. It demonstrates how a connected ecosystem can address the most critical barriers to electric truck adoption in practice — from infrastructure availability and operational planning to interoperability.

Join us as we take the next step toward a scalable, interoperable charging infrastructure for the logistics of tomorrow.

Tickets

This event is intended for a professional audience working in the field of electric trucks (e-trucks). We particularly welcome participants who are professionally involved in the deployment, planning, or infrastructure of e-trucks — including logistics, charging infrastructure, energy, fleet management, and related fields. The goal is to foster an open, expert-level exchange within the industry.
